ASK THAT YOU MAY HAVE

It is true that everything we need for life and godliness has been given to us by God, and the implication of this is that we have an inheritance with the Father that defines our wealth and possibilities. Yet, the reception of these things have been principled on asking and receiving in the place of prayer.

It is possible for you to have an inheritance with the Father and yet not experience it because you failed to ask the Father for it.

The provisions of God for us in Christ Jesus will not automatically become our possession and experience in this earthly realm except we ask and receive them in the place of prayer.

The parable of the prodigal son confirms this truth. The older brother, in displeasure, told his father that a kid had never been killed for him at anytime despite his faithful service to his father. His father responded, "son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours".

While the older son blamed his father for not giving him a kid, he failed to acknowledge that he never asked his father for a kid.

We know this because the father didn't refuse the younger brother what he asked, and it is unlikely that the father will refuse the older brother if he had asked for a kid.

I need to point out before continuing with this article that a kid was one of the least things the older son could have wished for considering the wealth of his father and the portion of goods that fell to him. This portrays how many Christians think little of what they can get from God, and if they ever get to ask the Father for a thing, we know they will ask for a kid-like provision.

We are told in scripture that we have not because we did not ask, and we are encouraged by our Lord to ask anything in his name and to ask that our joy may be full.

If you will ask the Father today, he will give to you what he has made available for you in Christ Jesus.

God has blessed you.

DON'T STRESS YOUR HEART

There is a thin line between trusting God for future provisions and worrying about the future. So thin is this line that we always cross it whenever we attempt to get the future settled today.

While the wisdom of the world teaches us to think, plan and prepare for tomorrow, God advises that we live life one day at a time.

Jesus let's us know that sufficient for the day is enough a concern and for this he invites us to ask the Father for the day's provision.

Jesus further tells us to take no thought about tomorrow: what we will eat and what we will drink. He is not against planning especially when you have the means, but he seeks to prevent our hearts from the worries that come from attempting to settle future realities when the means is not available today.

God wants you to live the life of faith. He wants you to learn to trust him daily to meet your needs; and the future you worry about will become a today that you will experience his good benefits.

We do not worry over the things we have; we worry over the things we do not have.

We do not worry over the things we have accomplished; we worry over the things we have not accomplished.

Worrying can never get God to do anything for you. Trusting the Lord daily is sufficient for you. Do not stress your heart trusting God for future provisions: after all, what he promised you was daily bread.

It is true that some people find it hard living the life of faith. Living the life of faith begins with knowing that God is with you and this consciousness should translate into knowing that he will guide you daily as a Shepherd to green pasture and ultimately bring to pass his glorious will for your life.

There are certain things God has said concerning your future: your calculations and permutations cannot bring them to pass. You've got to trust God exclusively to bring them to pass like he did for Joseph.

God has blessed you.

HE TELLS NO TRUTH

One of the ways we triumph over satan is by knowing that he can never tell the truth because he is the father of lies.

This fact must not be taken lightly because of the possibility of believing his words because they appear to be true.

satan quoted from the scripture when he tempted Jesus Christ, yet his words didn't command the obedience of our Lord because they were lies.

A lie is not just the inaccuracy of a statement; it is also judged by the manner of spirit behind the words. A statement can be accurate and yet a lie - satan can never say the truth.

Eve didn't understand this and she fell for satan's deception. His words were accurate, yet they were lies because of the spirit behind them.

satan sometimes inspires our dreams and expects us to respond in fear - praying to annul them. Stop! Don't be quick to pray! That dream, no matter how real it appears, is a lie.

Know within yourself that the dream is a lie and confess a counter scripture or hiss and go back to sleep if you are grounded in this truth. This immediately neutralizes the expected effect of the lie.

Resist getting into a prayer and fasting mode - you may just be doing that out of fear and that strengthens the lie of the devil.

Never accept the facts satan brings to your mind - they are lies and they do not deserve your obedience.

He is the father of lies and everything he says is a lie.

God has blessed you.

LEVERAGING ON RELATIONSHIPS

In the beginning, God wanted to solve the problem of Adam: ". . .it is not good that the man should be alone. . ." and he created a relationship: ". . .made he a woman, and brought her unto the man."

Ever since, relationships have been God's way of solving the problems of man.

Check through the scripture of truth, you will discover that most of the people who had their needs met had a relationship that made it possible: in most cases, they sought out those relationships.

The woman whose children were about to be taken reached out to Elisha the prophet and her problem was solved. The woman who had an issue of blood intentionally reached out to Jesus. I can go on and on reporting other people who had their needs met through strategic relationships.

Even our salvation came on the platform of a relationship - God sending his son to die for man.

I know you have prayed to God, but you may need to intentionally enquire about those who custody the answer to your prayer and reach out to them. Quit thinking that God will make it happen without a man; he has put all that you need for life and Godliness in people.

You shouldn't just sit in your house and expect a miracle: you've got to throw off your garment of shame and reach out to people in faith.

Attend meetings where you will meet people; set up appointments with people and discuss your vision - yes, your vision.

Make your problem a vision and share it with people and you will be amazed at how provisions will come in that direction.

God has blessed you.
