OUR ADVANTAGE

“Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.”
                                                                                                              Ephesians 6:10 (KJV)

Paul encourages us in this scripture to be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Paul in a deep sense encourages us to take advantage of the power that is in God. I consider this exhortation of Paul an important one as the life in Christ places Christians at a vantage position above others who have not believed the life that Jesus came to offer the world. As true as the reality of this advantage is, not many Christians are experiencing it, and this is the reason for Paul’s exhortation.

There is a consequence to not taking advantage of the power that is in the Lord. Our failure to embrace this advantage will hinder the work of God in our lives. The Lord wants to work his works in us. These works are referred to as the finished works of Jesus Christ – completed on the Cross of Calvary.

Prosperity, deliverance from the dominion of sin and Satan, success, access to the throne room of God amidst others are all finished works of Christ – all these were accomplished for us.

Physics teaches that power is the rate at which work is done; therefore, the finished works of Christ that needs to be worked out in our soul can only be accomplished through the power of God.

The big question here is, “how do I take advantage of the power of God.” We take advantage of the power of God by knowing that we have an advantage in the power of God. Hallelujah! It is so simple a thing to do. Scripture says that God’s people perish for lack of knowledge. This is not expected to be our experience, we are to be so aware that the exceeding greatness of God’s power resides on the inside of us, and once we come to the consciousness of this reality, we need enforce it over situations through faith-based declarations

From henceforth, begin to function in the God-capacity that you were created to function in, take dominion over the negative experiences in your life through the power of God that is in you: release the power through praying (preferably in tongues), and watch those situations take the frame of your words. Hallelujah!

EXERCISE
Take out at least 10 minutes today to release the power of God in you; afterwards speak forth those positive changes that you want to experience in your life.

  1. Thank you for watering my spirit, empowering my soul... Our edge over the devil is the knowledge of God's word we retain in our spirit. Like you shared I learnt that to be strong in my self is to program myself for defeat but to be strong in the Lord is to key into the finished work of Jesus and enjoy eternal victory, prosperity..... God bless you sir. Looking forward to tomorrows post
