EXPRESSED THROUGH DECLARATION
“We having the same spirit of faith, according
as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and
therefore speak;”
2 CORINTHIANS 4:13
We now proceed to consider the second platform
through which we can express our faith in God’s word. Paul, in our opening
scripture affirms that he spoke because he had believed. This immediately lets
us know that our conversation with
respect to our desires must be in line with God’s word that we have believed.
Sometimes we profess faith in God’s word, and we
then proceed to speak along the line of the present challenge we are experiencing
– this ought not to be so! If you truly believe
God’s report about that area of your desire you will align your conversation with
God’s word.
Scripture says that with the heart man believes unto
righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. What we say with our mouth shapes the
reality of our life. Death and life, scripture says, is in the power of the
tongue.
In the beginning, God used the power of the tongue
to re-create our world: he never spoke along the line of the issue on ground –
that would be complaining as we sometimes do – rather, he spoke forth what he
expected.
Consciously
pattern your speech after the word of God that you have come to believe; do not
terminate the manifestation of your desire with the wrong use of your tongue. Have
talking sessions where you declare God’s word over that area of your life you
need a miracle.
