HAPPY NEW YOU!
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new
creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
2 CORINTHIANS 5:17
(KJV)
Our
joy knows no bound with the turn of a new year. I strongly believe that there is no NEW YEAR without a NEW YOU,
and so an emphasis is placed on our personalities; this I mean with reference
to our spirit, soul and body.
Our
opening scripture informs us that those who are in Jesus Christ are new
creatures, and this reality has an implication on the core of our existence. To be in Christ is to be in the word; to be
in the word is to believe in the word.
Jesus
stressed the point on we abiding in him if we are ever going to experience
fruitfulness which is an expression of newness. As you take out time to believe
in God’s word this year, you will experience newness to your life experiences. The word of God has the ability to change
your experiences. God’s word says, “Remember you not the former things,
neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall
spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness,
and rivers in the desert.” Hallelujah!
The
word of God has the ability to effect positive changes in every area of your
life. Scripture assures us that blessed is she that believes for there shall be
a performance of the things that are spoken to her. The act of believing God’s word activates the word to fulfil itself in
our lives.
At
a certain time, some people came to Jesus asking to know what the work of the
Father was so they could engage in it; he simply told them that believing the
word is the work the father requires of them. This is how it works: locate God’s
word that aligns with that area of your life where you want to experience newness,
believe the word without considering the obvious realities in the physical;
declare what you’ve believed in prayer and expect the manifestation of the word
without a consideration of how long it takes.
This New Year is also a time for us to deliberately work on the upgrade of our minds and the nourishment of our bodies. Make yourself experience the new year from a wholesome perspective.
Remember,
there is no New Year without a New You; therefore, deliberately believe God’s
word for a change of realities.
EXERCISE
Identify God’s word that assures you of the fulfillment of your desires; believe them to see its performance.
