GUARD THE SOURCE
“Keep your heart with all diligence;
for out of it are the issues of life.”
PROVERBS
4:23 (KJV)
Our
opening scripture lets us know what the source of our life experiences comes
from – our heart. We probably didn’t expect it to be a product of our within; we may have thought that our experiences in
life come from the realities around us, but no, they come right from within us.
A
constant activity of the heart of man is “believing”. The heart of man is an organ
of believing. Scripture says that with the heart man believes unto
righteousness. This is no further from the truth that what we believe determines our experiences. We cannot believe a
thing if we do not hear about it; and that was the reason Jesus said, be
careful what you hear and how you hear.
If
we are careful about what we hear we will not give attention to wrong
information or ill information; should it be that we had no control over our
hearing the matter, how you hear comes into perspective. Do you hear with a
heart to believe? Or do you hear with a heart to disbelief?
That a report is valid does not put us
under compulsion to believe it.
Throw deaf hears to reports of poverty, economic issues, disappointments,
sickness etc.; should you hear about them do not believe them. You have a
choice over what you believe. Guard your
heart from negative information.
The
moment you believe what is not consistent with God’s word you permit it to
become a reality in your life, and sooner you will find yourself talking
persuasively about it. Believe the
report of God over your health, finances, marriage, ministry, business etc. and
watch to see them become your realities.
