EXPRESSED THROUGH PRAYER
“Therefore I say to
you, what things so ever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive
them, and you shall have them.”
MARK
11:24 (KJV)
We
have established the fact that believing is germane to experiencing the
blessings and person of God. Now we need to consider how we can exercise the
power of believing in achieving the desires of our heart.
Jesus
speaking in our opening scripture tells us that we are to believe we have received
whatsoever we desire when we pray. We notice he used the word “believe” in his
statement, and there is no way we will
believe if there is no information backing our belief – that information is God’s
word.
When
you believe God’s word over an issue, it is of necessity that you express your
faith in God’s word through praying to God. This is where a lot of people miss
it. They profess they believe in God’s
word, but they scarcely pray to God over what they have believed.
Prayer
brings God’s word into manifestation in our lives. Our persistence in prayer
until our desires are met is proof that we believe in God and also believe in
his word. Prayer becomes necessary in translating God’s words into realities in
our lives due to the opposition from the enemy’s side against the fulfilment of
God’s counsel concerning our lives.
God
isn’t the one delaying your blessings: for every desire of your heart, there is
an amount of spiritual energy needed for it to be translated from the realm of
the spirit into the realm of the physical. The spiritual energy allocated to your
desires is a function of the weight (importance) of the desire and the amount
of opposition it attracts. Prayer will
make tremendous power available to you for the manifestation of your desires.
