CHRIST OUR LIFE

“When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall you also appear with him in glory.”
Colossians 3:4 (KJV)

The birth, life, death, and accession of Jesus remain the greatest mysteries in the world. As we celebrate this eternal Icon today, I will love to point out that Christmas is more than the celebration of a man; it is a celebration of a life – eternal life. Scripture records that he was the life that was with the father and was revealed to humanity.

Our opening scripture declares that Jesus is our life; therefore, Christmas is the celebration of the life that is within us – the very life of the son of God. That life has given purpose and significance to our earthly existence. And so do not hold back your gratitude towards God.

For those who feel there is no significance and purpose to their lives, I need point out that that feeling isn’t right. Have you taken out time to study that life that you were given? That life is the written word and the revealed word. Search the scriptures for in them you think you have eternal life.

This brings to mind a major, yet silent reality to the birth of Jesus: his birth was unnoticed by the majority of people save for the wise men that followed his star to his birthplace. The is the same way Jesus is birthed within us; this is the same way life is birthed within us; this is the same way purpose is birthed within us; and these realities often goes unnoticed by us: probably because of the manger – unpleasant circumstances – where they were birthed.

Receive wisdom of God to identify that beauty that lies within you. That purpose and life within you is the very son of God: you carry a Holy Child within you. Do not despise it; celebrate it; it will one day command the gathering of the people as they celebrate the positive impact your life had on them.

MERRY CHRISTMAS: Jesus is the reason for this season; you are the reason for this season – never forget this.

PRAYER
Dear father, I thank you for the gift of your son Jesus, I strongly believe in your son and I see beauty and honour distinguishing my life. Amen
