HE’S GONE AHEAD

“I will go before you, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:”
                                                                                                           Isaiah 45:2 (KJV)

Did you know that the sunlight we see in the day left the sun’s surface 8 minutes 20 seconds ago? This is an excerpt from www.univeresetoday.com to back up this fact:

“Sunlight travels at the speed of light. Photons emitted from the surface of the Sun need to travel across the vacuum of space to reach our eyes. It takes sunlight an average of 8 minutes and 20 seconds to travel from the Sun to the Earth. As you look outward into space, you’re actually looking backwards in time. The light you see from your computer is nanoseconds old. The light reflected from the surface of the Moon takes only a second to reach Earth. The Sun is more than 8 light-minutes away. And so, if the light from the nearest star (Alpha Centauri) takes more than 4 years to reach us, we’re seeing that star 4 years in the past.”

What am I driving at with the above astronomical fact? It is that God has gone ahead of us in time, settling things about our future; watching to see us come into all he has prepared. The realm of the Spirit where God resides is ahead of our earth time. That realm is the future; he resides in your future: making arrangements for your arrival.

If what we read about planetary bodies in the excerpt is true, then it wouldn’t be difficult believing that God is living in our future and we are living in his past. The implication of this truth is that we can journey through life without entertaining fear of whatsoever knowing that he has done exactly what he promised us in our opening scripture. Hallelujah!

This is the reason scripture was bold to declare that all things work together for good to them that love God and are called according to his purpose. That things aren’t going the way you planned doesn’t mean that things are going out of course in your life. In the first place, you couldn’t have been that intelligent to know all that you need, when you need them, how you need them, and how your life is ORDAINED to go. Only God – our creator – is that intelligent. This is the reason he has gone ahead of you into your future.

God said in Isaiah 46:4, “And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.” We have a responsible father in God. You can rest your heart on this truth as you live through life.

I understand that as humans, we usually find it hard managing ourselves during challenging times; and you might want to ask if God forgot to fix this challenge when it was still in the future. He didn’t forget to fix it.

Our negative experiences in life are sometimes a consequence of our actions in the past: for such negative experiences we can’t blame God for them; rather, we are to take responsibility for the situation and patiently fix it through God’s word – when required.

There are certain negative experiences we go through that we have no input in their occurrence: for such experiences, understand that God left them for the purpose of character formation and personality discovery. As you respond positively to negative experiences in your life, you will see your character grow; as you overcome negative experiences in your live by leveraging on the exceeding greatness of God’s power that is in you, you will come to further discovery of who you are in Christ Jesus.

He’s gone ahead of you, you have nothing to worry about, and everything happening to you has been factored into his grand design for your life. He can declare the (your) end from the beginning because he has journeyed past the (your) end. Hallelujah! He lives in eternity and he’s waiting for your arrival.

MEDITATION
Think upon the life of Joseph in the bible; consider his life’s challenge, and bring to mind his life’s blessing. Parallel your life-situations with his and receive strength to believe God has gone ahead.
