PROVOKE THE REWARD
“And Pharaoh said to Joseph, I have
dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say
of you, that you can understand a dream to interpret it.”
Genesis
41:15 (KJV)
In
the previous article, I brought to our knowledge the reality of God’s reward
for our commitment to his Kingdom. I made us understand that the reason we do not experience the reward
for our efforts is because we do not understand God’s pattern of reward. I
pointed out that the Lord’s rewards are spiritual rewards and they birth the
physical reward we desire.
I put it to you today that you have
the responsibility of provoking the physical reward that you desire. When you identify the spiritual rewards in your life,
proceed to deploy it in service to humanity and in development of an
enterprise.
Our
opening scripture features the life of Joseph who expected a physical reward
for his faith in God, but God rewarded him spiritually with the ability to
interpret and apply dreams – that was the real reward. He had to engage the
spiritual reward in service to his fellow prison inmates and to Pharaoh for his
desired physical reward to materialize.
Imagine
Joseph – out of bitterness for the injustice meted on him by Potiphar – refused
to interpret the dreams of the prison inmates, he wouldn’t have come any close
to the palace. Imagine he refused to interpret the dreams of Pharaoh, holding
the opinion that he is an unbeliever and that it is not good to cast your
pearls to swine; he would never have become the ruler of the world – which was
the reward he sought.
Scripture
puts forth the life of Solomon as one that was marked with prosperity. He was blessed
with wisdom – a spiritual reward – and he proceeded to set up businesses that
made him prosperous.
As
humans we must be forward to serve humanity with the investment of God’s gifts
and blessings in our lives; it is on the premise of this that we will encounter
supernatural provisions of the physical rewards that we desire.
Do
not hesitate to set up an enterprise if you discover a grace for it in you. Hardly
do anyone become rich working for another. Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob didn’t become
wealthy working for another; they became wealthy working for themselves.
EXERCISE
Take up the initiative
of blessing people with God’s blessings upon your life.
