THE REAL ENEMIES
“For we wrestle not against flesh and
blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the
darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)
I
have come across people who look at things only from a physical perspective,
but God’s word discourages us from seeing things from a physical perspective,
but rather encourages us to look at things from a spiritual perspective.
Paul,
speaking to the Corinthians, asked, “Do you look on things after the outward
appearance?” We need ask ourselves this same question, and if we fall short of
the required perspective, it is high time we changed our perspective to life.
The
prosperity and miseries we see on earth emanate from the realm of the spirit – earth
is just a reflection of that realm. If you want any reality in this world,
provoke it from the realm of the spirit.
Our
opening scripture tells us that our warfare is not physical but spiritual. Paul
had to admonish us on this reality because it often appears that the challenges
we face are executed by flesh and blood – they can be provoked by flesh and
blood, but they are executed by demonic powers. The reason we need to see life challenges from this perspective is that
it is easier to deal with spirits than to deal with humans.
Should
you report a human to the police as the cause of your challenges, you won’t be
taken seriously and you can even be sued for false accusation; but no one will
sue you for casting out a demon in the name of Jesus. Hallelujah!
The victory we have over demonic
forces is in our faith in the name of Jesus Christ: for that name has been exalted above every name on
earth, in heaven, and in hell. Only believe in Jesus and rebuke every demonic influence
against your finances or whatever area you are facing a challenge.
Some
people are of the opinion that there is no warfare against their lives. They
are not true to themselves. The forces of evil in this world do not want anyone
to fulfil God’s purpose over their lives. They can allow you prosper if your
prosperity isn’t a threat to them, but they will never want to allow you get
any close to the reason for your existence. Paul told Timothy to wage a good
warfare by the prophecies that had gone ahead of him. You are expected to do
likewise.
PRAYER
Dear father, I thank you for the authority in the
name of Jesus. I declare that every demonic influence against my life be
destroyed in the name of Jesus. Amen.
